On the initiative of newmag and Freedom Broker Armenia, Lori's libraries have been replenished with 1000 books. This week, the two companies presented 500 books to Vanadzor.

Vanadzor marks the second stop this week where newmag has donated 500 books, with the support of Freedom Broker Armenia. The first stop was Alaverdi's community library. Overall, Lori's libraries have received a total of 1000 books.

Employees at the Hrant Matevosyan Library carefully arranged the new books promptly, ensuring readers have immediate access to high-quality modern works published by newmag.

According to Gnel Nalbandian, editor-in-chief of the publishing house, the "Centralized System of Libraries of Vanadzor" is a dynamic organism evident in the meticulous arrangement of books on shelves and the dedication of its staff.

"I have seen librarians here who are committed to cultivating literary tastes among readers. Despite not receiving high salaries, their dedication ensures that every book we donate reaches the hands of eager readers. Our publications range from bestsellers to modern contemporary works.

We publish historical books such as 'Escape from Ergir,' a scholarly work exploring historical and present-day realities. Our children's literature features vibrant printing, colorful illustrations, and reader-friendly fonts, ensuring children enjoy their reading experience."

Newmag initiated the distribution of modern literature across regions starting in Lori, with Freedom Broker Armenia joining as the first supporter of this book donation program. Lilit Hakobyan, deputy head of Middle East and South Caucasus PR & GR at Freedom Holding company, expressed satisfaction with launching developmental initiatives in marzes through such programs.

"I am delighted and proud that our Armenian office emphasizes continuous educational and developmental programs for society. We have ambitious plans, including establishing an academy in Yerevan. However, we are equally committed to developing regions, starting with this important step, as education begins with books. Books have been instrumental in achieving my own goals."

The "Centralized System of Libraries of Vanadzor," a 50-year-old institution, encompasses 4 libraries with 6,000 readers and 105,000 books. Newmag's books will be available in all 4 libraries. Mane Muradyan, director of the CSLV, initially met with skepticism about the news of the donation of 500 new and modern books.

"Each of these books will be highly sought after. Your choice is commendable, and our readers will greatly appreciate it. Our librarians work tirelessly, bringing new ideas every day. I hope all communities can share in this joy and opportunity."

Narine Kroyan, an author from Vanadzor, emphasized in her speech that great initiatives must stem from love, specifically a love for books and readers.

"Without love, no initiative or event can truly succeed. Love permeates all of newmag's initiatives; it's the foundation upon which all their books are created. I am privileged to contribute as an author at newmag."

According to Artak Aleksanyan, head of newmag, while libraries receive books periodically, the books donated by their publishing house to regional libraries are special. These books are bestsellers both locally and internationally.

"It's crucial for us to avoid urban bias in our actions, work, and vision. The books that are read in Yerevan should also be read in Vanadzor. We selected these books meticulously, considering the preferences of your readers and your community's needs. We aim to expand readership, foster a literary community, and stimulate literary discussions."

Artak Aleksanyan further emphasized that this initiative is part of Freedom Broker Armenia's social responsibility and reflects their commitment to strengthening community libraries.

"The initiative to provide books to regions will continue," he added.

In Vanadzor, the book donation concluded with a lecture delivered by Georgi Melkonyan, head of educational programs at Freedom Broker Armenia, on financial literacy titled "Where Does Financial Literacy Begin?"

Kristine Madoyan, head of the Culture, Education, and Tourism Department of the Vanadzor Municipality, presented certificates of appreciation to newmag and Freedom Broker Armenia on behalf of the community leader.
