In her book, Kristine Grigoryan shares how her parents passed down cherished family traditions, national cuisine, and recipes. After moving to the United States, these delicious memories helped her maintain a connection with her homeland and family heritage.

The book covers everything needed to bake red bread and delicious Matnaqash. Kristine Grigoryan presents her mother’s and grandmother’s aromatic and delicious recipes, adding details about ingredients, cooking methods, childhood memories, and interesting stories.

After relocating to the USA, Kristine Grigoryan decided to compile all her mother’s and grandmother’s recipes. She first prepared these dishes for her family and then recorded them.


"Traditional Dining Table: Smells, Tastes, Memoirs from Gavar" includes both traditional and modern recipes, featuring holiday dishes prepared by grandmothers. In nine chapters, the author provides detailed recipes for snacks, soups, cakes, drinks, salads, and pies, as well as various methods for making chir.

In the final chapter, "Traditions and Rituals," Kristine Grigoryan recounts her childhood experiences with New Year, Easter, Trndez, festive dishes, khash and khashlama, the traditions of the pokhind, and delicious buns with various fillings.
