The children's picture book "The Poet and the Smell", written and illustrated by the young Latvian illustrator and poet Lotte Vilma Vitinja, tells the story of a little poet who one day finds a poem, or perhaps a cloud or even rain, in his nose. From that moment on, he discovers the diverse and rich world of scents, which help him create and tell about his discoveries. In 2019, the book was awarded the "Zelta Abele" Prize, and in 2020, it received the "Jānis Baltvilks" Prize for best illustrations. The book is intended for children up to 6 years old.
