Tigran Hayrapetyan predicted the reality we live in more than 25 years ago, from the 44-day war to the internal disputes
Tigran Hayrapetyan presented 5 options for settling the Artsakh problem in the “Shall we save the Homeland?” book. He analyzed all the details, juxtaposed the facts, and examples from world history and historical experience, and came up with the best solu
We do not want the handing over of an indivisible part of the homeland and its population to the mercy of the enemy or neighbor (whatever) to be justified by a disaster caused by the group of adventurers, just as we do not want the people to become victims of a periodical, capricious, therefore hopeless war.
Because we consider it unacceptable to draw any conclusions based on sensibility and immaturity. But neither the administration nor the authoritative parties or involved structures did not and do not do the minimal work necessary to make judgments, and decisions based on objective realities.
... One cannot be idealistic about unity. The tradition of becoming victims of our petty disagreements at critical moments in our history is as enduring as the tradition of suffering bitter defeats. These two are equivalent, or rather mutually dependent on each other.
There are no grounds for careless optimism, just as there are no grounds to believe that the political forces representing the people and their leaders will break this destructive traditionalism at this stage of our history. There is only an awareness of the need, the realization of which requires great and very hard work.
This is the way to a civilization, a developing, prosperous, and strong society that will be able to solve its problems, including the bloody national problem. We raise this issue for the simple reason: such a choice requires the support of all classes, because only then the necessary structures that must form the intellectual environment can be created, equipped with appropriate specialists and material resources, and if necessary, using the people's vote to prevent political adventure.
An independent, developed, and high-quality national thought is the only stable and real guarantee of the national security of any people. Choosing another path leads the homeland to eternal darkness, in which the dreams of freedom, statehood, and nationalism will be lost.
