Newmag publishing house organizes a festival of French content for the 2nd year. This year, FrancoFest will occur on the Translator's Day, October 12.
The main event of
this festival and year, the most famous and prestigious literary award of
the Francophone world, is coming to Armenia. The official start of Goncourt
Armenia will be given to FrancoFest. This is a historic day for Armenian
literary life, and this cultural event was made possible by the joint efforts
of newmag, the French Institute and the UFAR.
On that occasion, the delegates of the Goncourt Academy will arrive in Yerevan: the chief delegate François Rossino and the member of the jury of the Goncourt Prize, the famous French writer and philosopher Pascal Bruckner.
At the Francophone festival, the publishing house will present 5 new French books. Two exclusive memoirs: "Life through the Eyes of Charles" and "Missak Manouchian: Through the Eyes of an Eyewitness", 2 francophone bestsellers: "The Enemy's Cosmetique" by Amélie Nothomb, "Happiness Hanging by a Thread" by Agnès Martin-Lugand. The presentation of the sensational novel "The Most Secret Memory of Men" by the Senegalese Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, who won the Goncourt Prize, will also take place.
