The translator of "One of Us is Lying" presents interesting details from the novel (video)

The novel "One of Us is Lying" breathed new life into this genre. With its attractive and dynamic plot, it allows readers to think, build hypotheses and solve puzzles. Five students are accidentally or intentionally punished and end up in the same room. Four of them get out of the punishment room alive and at least one of them is lying. This brief description immediately attracted thousands of readers around the world, and Karen McManus' thriller "One of Us is Lying" became a bestseller.

The novel "One of Us is Lying" is McManus' first and most successful book. It became the first book in the writer's trilogy and more than 6 million copies were sold worldwide. The book was translated into Armenian by Astghik Atabekyan. She is not in Armenia now, but she told in video format about the process of translating, on how she was able to armenify Osman's television style.
