[Photo Report] Photos from Charles Aznavour’s “La Bohème. Le Temps Des Avants” Book Presentation and the “Emmenez-Moi” Song Premiere

Charles Aznavour’s comprehensive and extensive autobiography encompassess various episodes and exclusive details of his life. In the book Aznavour for the first time writes about the women he loved and about his son’s untimely death. “La Bohème. Le Temps Des Avants” book was Hamlet Gasparyan’s last work as a translator. Gasparyan passed away only two weeks before the book presentation. Friends, relatives and colleagues of the diplomat-translator were present during the evening. A moment of silence was announced to mourn his death.
In recent years, Hamlet Gasparyan was the advisor to the President of the Republic of Armenia. According to his colleague Tigran Liloyan, Gasparyan's works have stood out in all spheres with perfection.
Samvel Gasparyan is the translator-editor of Aznavour’s books. He also translated the “Reste” song into Armenian, which premiered on May 22, on the occasion of chansonnier’s birthday.
From now on the “Emmenez-Moi” of the renowned chansonnier will also sound in Armenian. The initiator of this project is Newmag publishing house. The song is performed by Shushan Petrosyan. The song and music video were premiered during the evening.
Music producer is Martin Mirzoyan, the lyrics were translated by Berge Turabian. Director of the music video is Harutyun Shatyan.
The head of the Newmag publishing house Artak Aleksanyan notes that each hour the youtube views of the Armenian version of “Emmenez-Moi” increase by thousands.
The newly appointed French Ambassador to Armenia was also present in the evening. Anne Luyo claims that Aznavour’s songs sound emotional and impressive in Armenian.
The main sponsor and partner of this book and the whole project is Amundi-ACBA Company. The executive director of the company strongly believes that these literary projects strengthen the French-Armenian relations.
The evening is summed up with a glass of wine and warm talks.
